Douglas Wade Bond, 81, of Highland Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully after a courageous three-year battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
Doug was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was known for his loving and considerate nature, as well as his strength, loyalty, and unwavering care for those around him. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and created lasting memories through vacations and special times together.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Rose Bond; his children, Joseph D’Amico, Stephen D’Amico, James D’Amico (April), Heather Bond (Thomas), and Douglas Bond (Kelsey); his nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Doug will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous spirit, and the deep love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at Glick Family Funeral Home, located at 3600 N Ocean Blvd., Boca Raton, on Friday, May 22, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. and 5:00–7:00 p.m. A Mass will be held on Saturday, May 23, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, located at 840 George Bush Blvd., Delray Beach. Following the Mass, family and friends are invited to gather at the Delray Beach Club.
