Doris M. Kamener

Doris M. Kamener, beloved wife of the late Basil (Biz) Kamener, passed away just shy of her 92nd birthday on April 22, 2022. Doris and Biz were a glamourous couple who loved to entertain and travel the world. Doris was born to the late Louis Carlish and Jeanne (Ornitz) Carlish in New York City and is survived by her devoted children Scott R. Kamener and Susan B. Kamener, her brother Arthur Carlish (Judy), as well as three grandchildren: April, Gabriel and Nathaniel. 

She enjoyed a long career in the fashion industry and who could forget the time she won a trip to Paris—the epicenter of fashion--on the Price is Right in 1961? Known as an avid reader, she was forever on the library waiting list for the next bestseller as she devoured the NYT Sunday edition each week. Doris passed along her organizational skills and hard work ethic as well as her appreciation for the arts. She always made sure the family went places and did things. And, her children never fail to dress appropriately for the occasion. In lieu of flowers, donations to Trustbridge Hospice by the Sea are encouraged.

A graveside service will be held at Temple Beth-El of Boca Raton, FL at 1PM on Sunday, May 1st.
