Donald (Don) Aaron Reinhart, of Boca Raton, formally of Quincy, MA, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. He was 80 years old.
Donald was the late son of Irving Reinhart and Rita Staford. He was born on July 18, 1945 and raised in Canton, Ohio. He graduated from GlenOak High School in 1963, after which he joined the United States Navy and traveled the world, with eventually being stationed at South Weymouth Naval Station. During his time in the Navy, he grew a love for cooking. Don met his wife, Rosemary Meiley, shortly after in Boston, Massachusetts.
Don and Rosemary settled near the ocean in one of Quincy's most loved neighborhoods, Squatum. They lived there for over 50 years and raised their two sons. Jimmy and David. Don was often found on the sidelines of his sons’ baseball and football games, cheering them on. He found pleasure in running Bargains Galore on Billings Road, a favorite of many Quincy residents. Donald was passionate about watching sports. You could often find him on a Sunday watching the Patriots or the PGA. After retirement, Don moved to Boca Raton, FL, to enjoy Florida's fine weather. It was common to see him outside on his deck with his morning or afternoon cup of coffee and his cat, Mr. Kitty. While enjoying the sunshine, he would listen to the radio or check the stock market on his phone. Don was an avid listener of Howard Stern.
Donald was the husband of the late Rosemary Reinhart. He is survived by his son, James Reinhart, and his wife, Diane, of Weymouth, MA. His son, David G. Reinhart Sr., and his wife, Heidi, of Hanover, MA. He was the grandfather of James Reinhart Jr. of Quincy, and Kelly Reinhart, of Weymouth, Catherine, and David Reinhart Jr., both of Hanover. He also leaves many friends behind in Boca, who will remember him for his wit and stories.
A Celebration of Life will be held at another date and time.
