Domenic Joseph Ruffa Sr., of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on August 26, 2024, at the age of 58.
Domenic (D.J.) was born in Pittsburgh, PA, to Domenic and Elaine (Vizzini) Ruffa and later moved with his family to Wellington, FL.
Domenic was a devoted father and a loving partner who prioritized being ever present and available for his family. Domenic’s creative spirit was evident in his love for gardening, nature photography, cooking, and drawing – a passion that was passed on to his son, Domenic Jr. Domenic also shared his love of baseball with his son, step son and many others as a head coach for his Little League teams.
With a passion for sports, he then began his career in Minor League Baseball, working for organizations such as the West Palm Beach Expos and the New York Binghamton Mets. Most recently, Domenic dedicated the past 17 years of his career working in sales.
He is lovingly remembered by his partner of 25 years, Brenda Duffack, son, Domenic Jr., and stepson, Luke; sister, Renee (Ruffa) Vazquez; brother, Dino John Ruffa (Jennifer), many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon (Ruffa) Calvo.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at The Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton, Florida.
Domenic will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
