David Morgan Williams of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away at age 67 on January 23, 2024. Dave was born on April 2, 1956 in Fort Pierce, Florida to the late Asa Williams and Ruth Williams (née Koon). He attended Fort Pierce High School and graduated from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.
Dave lived for many years in NYC and Connecticut and worked in operations within the financial services industry. He retired in 2010 to the sunshine state of Florida.
Dave is survived by his partner Sheila McInnes of Quincy, MA; his brother Asa "Dib" Williams of Los Angeles; his half-brother Tim Williams of NJ; his half-sister Susan Crowley of FL; his step-mother Edie Williams of FL. Loving father of Chris Williams of Washington, DC and Mike Williams of New York City. 17 months ago he was thrilled to become granddad to Jack Tevis-Williams, son of Chris and Tory Tevis. A sure way to get a smile on Dave’s face was to show a picture or mention Jack's name. Dave is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dave was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life - a hot shower, a beautiful sunset, crashing waves, the sighting of a turtle or fish during a walk. He had a collection of shells, sharks teeth, and miscellaneous ocean treasures all found on his daily beach walks. If he wasn’t walking he was biking on A1A or bike trails throughout Boca, or swimming laps in the ocean.
Rugby and soccer were Dave’s passion. Although his Rugby playing days are long over, his bond with his rugby mates has lasted – although we're not certain if it was the rugby or the after parties that were the attraction! Dave was a big fan of Southampton FC and the Miami Dolphins.
Dave will be missed terribly by his friends and family.
A celebration of life will be held at San Remo Clubhouse, 2871 North Ocean Blvd in Boca Raton, Florida from 4-8pm on Saturday March 9, 2024.
