It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Delligatti, born on February 22, 1958, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After a courageous 40-day battle with an undiagnosed heart condition, he passed peacefully on September 26, 2024. He was preceded in death by his cherished mother, Rose Mary D. Murray, who held a special place in his heart; his father, James S. Delli Gatti; grandmother, Adeline Guerra “Nunny,” and aunt, Ralphina Scotti.
David was a man of remarkable strength and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, perseverance, and unwavering love for his family. After relocating to Boca Raton, Florida, he met the love of his life, his adoring wife of 27 years, Dorota Delligatti. He is also lovingly survived by his treasured children, Angelika D. Laskawska and Francis Delligatti; his beloved sister, Lisa Delligatti (Bo Weintraub); his cherished brother, James Delligatti; and his devoted mother-in-law, Teresa Blecharczyk. David Delligatti is warmly remembered by his loyal canine companion, Charlie, who brought joy and warmth to his life, and who will forever carry the memory of their special bond. There is a profound emptiness in the hearts of David’s family without him.
David earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. From an early age, he had a deep love for music, cars, and sports, playing ice hockey through middle school and high school. He worked as a consultant in the health industry, where his dedication and expertise made a meaningful impact.
David will be fondly remembered for his generous spirit, infectious sense of humor, and deep devotion to those he loved. His ability to light up a room and his genuine care for others made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
May he rest in peace, comforted by the knowledge that he lived a life filled with purpose and left an indelible mark on our hearts. He will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held from 8:30-10:30 on Thursday, October 3 at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 3 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton. Entombment will follow at the Boca Raton Mausoleum.
