It is with great sadness that the family of Claire St. Jean , 88, of Boca Raton , passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, April 27. Claire was a devout Catholic and served as a Eucharist Minister with Ascension Church for many years.
Claire was born in Oxford, MA on December 15, 1929. She met the love of her life Paul St. Jean in high school. They celebrated 52 years together until his passing in 2002. They lived in Millbury, Mass where their 3 children were born. They relocated to the small quiet town of Boca Raton in 1958.
Claire was the cafeteria Manager at A.D. Henderson School until her retirement. She then returned to school and became a Certified Nurses Assistant. She enjoyed the many patients that she took care of.
Claire was a Breast Cancer Survivor for 40 years and had lived with dementia for the last 8 years.
Claire loved to volunteer. She did so at several thrift shops, animal rescue leagues, Boca Regional Hospital, local veterinarian offices and Ascension Church.
Claire will be sadly missed by her sister Janet Quillette of E. Douglas, MA. Her daughters Diane (Mickey) King and Karen (Gene) Hingson of Boca Raton, son Alan (Nancy) St. Jean of Dunnellon, FL. Grandchildren Lissa Udell, DJ Manager, Stephanie, Heather & Patrick St. Jean. Great Grandchildren Blake, Kendall and Quinn. Also nephew Frank and nieces Debbie & Donna. Preceded in death by grandson Christopher St. Jean.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00pm. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church at 1:30pm on Thursday. She will be laid to rest at Boca Raton Mausoleum. Please join the family for refreshments at The Boca Raton Train Station (747 S. Dixie Hwy., Boca Raton 33432) as we continue to celebrate the life of our beloved Claire.
