In Loving Memory of
Christopher Andrew Evans
June 6, 1969 – April 4, 2025
It is with heavy hearts and a spirit of celebration that we announce the passing of our beloved Christopher Andrew Evans, affectionately known as "The Mayor," who left us far too soon on Friday, April 4th, 2025.
Chris was a master of connection—his heart as big as his unforgettable smile. With a magnetic personality and razor-sharp wit, he could charm the socks off anyone, instantly winning affection wherever he went. He had that rare ability to make everyone feel seen, valued, and like part of the family.
At the very center of Chris’s universe was his beloved daughter, Olivia Grace Evans—his shining star and greatest joy. He wasn’t just a dad; he was a fiercely devoted cheerleader, always present, always proud, and always full of unconditional love.
Family came second only to Olivia. He was a treasured brother to Dawn Evans and Pamela Haynes, and a forever friend to his former wife, Heather Cox. With a family tree sprawling enough to rival the population of Long Island, Chris embraced every aunt, uncle, cousin, and their families as his own—making each one feel the warmth of his genuine love.
We will miss his big brown eyes, that infectious laugh, and the way he made the ordinary feel extraordinary. But if you knew Chris, you know he wouldn’t want us to dwell in sorrow. He’d want us to laugh, reminisce, and wear something with a little flair.
Therefore, In true Chris fashion, he asked that we celebrate his life—not mourn it. So throw on your best Tommy Bahama shirt, Hawaiian print, shorts, and flip-flops, and come honor this extraordinary man with joy, stories, and love.
