Chase Benedict Obituary

Chase Daniel Benedict passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2024 at his home in Plymouth, New Hampshire. Chase was born September 25, 2001 in Boca Raton, FL where he grew up. He was always a "Florida Boy" even to the point of being barefoot, in shorts, walking around in the snow of New Hampshire! He embraced life with an infectious enthusiasm and joy that left an indelible mark on everyone in his presence. His unwavering happiness, expressed through his radiant smile and laughter, had a profound impact, bringing joy to those around him. As a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, Chase will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

A devoted sports enthusiast, Chase's true passion was football, with the Titans being his preferred team. However, his love transcended team allegiances; he was a fan of players across the league, possessing an extensive knowledge of stats, names, and teams. Fantasy Football was a source of delight, and NFL Red Zone was an essential part of his viewing routine. If they made him points for his Fantasy team, he did not care who they played for!

Chase's high school years at Boca Raton Community High School were a mix of "school stuff" and Bobcat Football, where he played both JV and Varsity, culminating in an exciting graduating year as the middle linebacker for the Boca Raton Bobcats.

In November 2022, Chase made the move to Plymouth, New Hampshire, where he accepted a position at Mount Prospect Academy in Campton. There, he discovered his true calling, making a meaningful impact working with at-risk youth in the Enhanced Residential Treatment Program. His calm and steady presence was valued by both the kids and his colleagues. In this fulfilling role, he found profound happiness and formed deep connections within a close-knit community of his family and friends there as well as fellow associates at MPA, solidifying his love of New Hampshire.

Chase is survived by his parents, Shawn and John, his brother Connor, and his grandparents Raymond and Patricia Heckman, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who hold a deep love for him. His passing is mourned by a large extended family and a wide circle of friends. He will be forever in our hearts.

A memorial service will take place at Glick Family Funeral Home on February 17th, 2024. Gathering will commence at 10:00 am, with the service scheduled to start at 11:00am. The funeral home is located at 3600 N. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33431.

In accordance with Chase's casual spirit, attendees are encouraged to dress extremely casually, wearing football attire from their favorite team or any team.

In lieu of flowers and to honor Chase's personal and professional passion, a fund, named the "Chase Benedict Outdoor Education Fund," has been established. The fund will support the work he was dedicated to at Mount Prospect Academy in Campton, NH. This will fund off-campus excursions with students and provide equipment for outdoor activities.

Mount Prospect Academy does not accept donations electronically at this time. A fund has been set up here, so donations can be made electronically. The funds will be delivered to the school via a final check.

If you would like to donate online, please select the "Donate" tab at the top of this page.

Or, if you like, you can send a check, made out to "Chase Benedict OE Fund", directly to the school at:
