Charles Alexander Woodside
It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Charles Alexander Woodside, who left us unexpectedly on Thursday, July 10th, 2025, at the age of 56. Charles was a truly special soul, known for his loving and kind-hearted nature, his remarkable and quirky sense of humor, and his warm, comforting presence.
Born on January 4th, 1969, in Nassau, Bahamas, Charles lived a life rich in love and laughter. He found immense joy and purpose in his role as a father to his cherished sons, Atrayo and Aiden, who were his pride and joy. He dedicated himself to them, always striving to be their biggest supporter. His infectious laugh and quick wit could light up any room, and he had a unique ability to make everyone around him feel at ease.
Charles also held a special place in his heart for his beloved dog, Marley, who was a constant source of comfort and companionship. Their bond was a testament to his gentle and compassionate spirit.
Professionally, Charles excelled in every role he undertook and was respected by his colleagues for his dedication and integrity. Outside of his family, Charles found great pleasure in listening to music, most notably Afro Beats, enjoying and sharing memes online, and had a great fondness for sports cars.
He is survived by his sons: Atrayo and Aiden, his grandson Lucas, and his loving siblings: Angela, Denise Gilbert, Kay(Francis), Jayne(Richard), Lorenzo Woodside, Anselem; Nieces: Kirstie, Nicolette(Brian), Nicarah, Haven (Kara), Victoria and Joan; Nephews: Herbie, Sage (Roger), Garrett, Rayne (Arissia), Raheem, D’ Angelo,Yocasta, Khandi, Anselee, and Santiche; Cousins: Bloundell & Gina, Aranah (Lisa), Arlington (Andrea), Maudeline, Bishop Kirklyn (Sherol), Ria (Hon. Leroy Major) and Donna (Oswald); He was also deeply connected to the Rolle’s, Cox’s, Hanna’s, Burrow’s, Bethel’s, Ambrose, Angelo, Elliott, Pat and Della.
Charles shared a lifelong bond with his prior wife, Carol K Woodside, and her family who remained dear to him throughout his life including Kenneth, Deloris, Brian, Ceva, Mikey, Vernice, Culbert, Sherick, Tesa, Oscar, Margaret, Yvette (Mustapha), Kent, Arlean, Kendra, Keldon, KK (Sunny), Kenise, Malia, Trooper, Herbert, Usak, Uduak, Brittany, Charles Seymour, Claudio Vietti, little Claudio Vietti, Marisa, Ramardo, Marvin, Brian jr. He also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends who will deeply miss his warmth, humor and unwavering kindness.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 12pm-1pm at Glick Family Funeral Home, 3600 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33431 and a Memorial Service will take place at 1pm at the same location. Charles’ sudden departure leaves an immeasurable void in our lives but his spirit, his laughter, and the love he so freely gave will live on in our hearts forever. We will cherish every memory and find comfort in knowing that he touched so many lives with his extraordinary kindness and boundless humor.
In lieu of traditional dark attire, the family invites guests to wear vibrant colors to celebrate Charles’ joyful spirit.
