It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Foster Walton Jr., 75, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on December 1, 2024. Foster was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose compassion and generosity left a tremendous impact on all who knew him.
He was born on February 27, 1949, to parents Greta and Charles Foster Walton Sr. Foster lived a life filled with purpose and love. Foster built a successful career as an executive at a brewery, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers.
Beyond his professional achievements, family was at the heart of Foster’s life. He was the proud father of three children—Foster Walton and his wife, Devon; Ginny Piatt and her husband, Mike; and Brandon Walton—and a loving grandfather to four grandchildren, Cole, Drew, Charlie, and Ben. He cherished every moment spent with his family, whether at holiday gatherings, fishing trips, or quiet afternoons filled with laughter. Foster is also survived by his siblings Keith Walton and his wife, Patti; Salli Solow and her husband, Jon; and Lilla Walton. He is preceded in death by his sister Gretchen Hocevar.
Foster’s legacy extends far beyond his family. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering positivity were an inspiration to those around him. Friends and neighbors will remember him as a pillar of strength and a source of encouragement, always willing to lend a hand or share a kind word.
Charles Foster Walton Jr. will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
