Charles Francis Crowley Jr.
September 2, 1928 – January 13, 2026
97 Years Old
Charles “Chuck” Crowley passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026. He was predeceased by his parents Charles F. Crowley Sr. and Loretta Nealon Crowley, his wife Gertrude Therese “Teri” Crowley, his son Charles “Chuck” Crowley III and daughter Lisa Crowley Philipps. He is survived by his son Michael, daughters-in-law Tami Crowley and Jill Crowley, son-in-law Donald Philipps, grandchildren Michael (Lily), Ryan (Monica), Casey (Adyson), Colleen (Greg) and Kevin and great-grandchildren Leo, Ava, Sky, River, Oak, Joey and Chloe.
Chuck was born and raised in Philadelphia attending West Catholic High School and St Josephs College. He served in the Army at Ft Polk, LA. He met the love of his life “Teri” to whom he was married for 62 years in Miami, Florida. Later they moved to Rochester New York, began his sales career at Fasco Industries and started a family. He later moved back to Florida to start his own company, Crowley and Associates.
In his youth Chuck loved the vibrant sports scene in the City of Philadelphia from playground basketball to the Philadelphia Big 5 college rivalry to the Philadelphia A’s professional baseball team. He played college baseball and later enjoyed fast pitch softball. He loved the camaraderie of golf with the guys in Rochester at Ontario Golf Club, at Boca Del Mar Golf Club and in the mountains of North Carolina.
Chuck was a devoted Catholic and family man. He was kind to everyone and made friends easily. He was a tireless worker who loved meeting people and growing his business. He loved his children and especially enjoyed attending all their baseball and basketball games. The loss of 2 children, Chuck at 54 and Lisa at 37 to cancer was heartbreaking for Chuck and Teri but they persevered. When his wife Teri developed dementia, he never left her side.
Chuck passed peacefully at St Andrews Estates under Hospice Care. He will forever be grateful for the kindness and care that he received in his 20 years living at St. Andrews.
A private service will be held at St. Joan of Arc.
