Cecilia “Ceci” Esther Estupiñan

Devoted Mother, Grandmother, & Great-grandmother

Cecilia Esther Estupiñán, 96, died Saturday, Sept. 10th at her home, with her family by her side.

She was born April 27th, 1926 in Barranquilla, Colombia to Maria and Angel Nunez. She was the 3rd oldest out of her 9 siblings. Being very close with her siblings, she spent most her childhood playing in the streets of her hometown with her brothers and sisters. As she grew older, she graduated from high school and started her career as a secretary, working for an American company.

Cecilia married to Eloy Estupiñán on November 19th, 1959. The two met on a double date that was set up by her younger sister. They were blessed with two daughters, Martha and Maria. After having her second child she retired to stay home and raise her daughters with the help of her sister, Josefina, as Eloy spent most of his time at sea working on ships as a Marine Engineer.

She lost her husband 1986 due to colon cancer. At the time, her daughters were in their early 20’s and enrolled in college, she put her focus on helping them succeed. Her youngest daughter, Maria Felisa, ended up moving to America as she took a leap of faith to start her life. Shortly after, she moved to America to help her daughter take care of her first son, Johnathan.

She was blessed with 4 grandkids Johnathan, Ivancamilo, Kevin and Giovanny. Her grandkids gave her life excitement, joy and of course with four boys comes headaches. From changing their diapers to watching them learn to drive. She got to see all her grandkids grow up and become young adults. Just when you think heres life couldn’t get any better, her oldest grandson Johnathan blessed her with two great-grandkids. She was able to meet her two great-granddaughters, Marisol and Daniela. Cecilia was a family woman who will be deeply missed by them, friends, and all of those who knew her.

Cecilia “Ceci” Esther Estupinán

Madre, abuela y bisabuela
