Carol Anne Ryan

Carol Anne Ryan passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 8, 2021 surrounded by members of her family.

A loving, caring woman who's greatest joy was spent sharing special days and holidays with her family.  Carol was born on May 11, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY to Loretta Considine and Francis John Whelan.  She was raised in Brooklyn and attended St. Paul's Elementary School and was a member of the 1964 graduating class of Lafayette High School.  Carol began her professional career at New York Telephone in New Rochelle, NY.  She subsequently worked at Macfield Texturizing and Mayo Yarns in New York City and finally at Odyssey Reinsurance in Stamford, CT.  Carol married her husband James on June 14, 1987 and they resided in New Rochelle, NY, Westport, CT and Fairfield, CT before relocating to Boca Raton, FL.

Carol is survived by her husband of 39 years James, her brothers Keith Maisano and his wife Francis (Boca Raton, FL), James Maisano and his wife Jean (New Rochelle, NY) and Anthony Maisano and his wife Alice (Southbury, CT).  She is further survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Melissa and Lauren Maisano Granda, Mathew Maisano, Michael Maisano and Julia and Christopher Maisano.  Carol is predeceased by her parents and her sister Laurie.

A small service and internment was held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 and a Memorial Service will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers donations are encouraged and may be made in Carol's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to a cancer institute of your choice.
