With deep sorrow and heartfelt remembrance, we announce the passing of Carlos Alberto Soto. Born on December 22, 1948, in Havana, Cuba, Carlos lived a life marked by quiet strength, enduring love, and deep devotion to his family.
Carlos was the beloved husband of Marilyn Soto, a devoted father to Nicholas Soto and Michelle Soto, and an adoring grandfather to Mason and Ethan Soto, who brought endless joy to his heart. He was a caring brother to Alina Arnoldson and Miriam Bared, and he now joins his beloved brother Emilo Soto and his parents, Emilo and Fidelia Soto, in eternal rest.
A proud Cuban by birth, Carlos carried the soul of his homeland with him wherever he went. His life’s journey brought him through challenges and triumphs, always with humility and grace. He had a quiet wisdom, a steady presence, and a heart that beat strongest for his family. His stories, values, and laughter will echo through generations.
Carlos was the kind of man whose love was felt not in grand gestures but in the countless ways he showed up — for his family, his friends, and his community. He will be remembered for his unwavering support, his warm smile, and the deep sense of peace he brought to those around him.
Carlos will be laid to rest privately at Fairway Memorial Gardens in Deerfield Beach, FL
Although he may no longer walk beside us, Carlos will forever remain in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carlos’s memory to the American Kidney Fund.
