In Loving Memory of
Barry Justin Levenson
November 29th 1983-July 28th 2025
It is with profound shock and sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Barry Levenson, who left us way too soon on July 28th 2025 at the age of 41. Barry had been living a quiet, tranquil, and happy life in the very small coal mining town of Coeburn, VA. Barry was well known in the town along with his adorable side kick puppy Moe. In the year he had been living in this Appalachian Mountain town, he had developed several meaningful and genuine friendships. His friends were drawn to his charisma and sophistication. Barry had a magnetic personality and a sharpy wit. He was a bright and well-read man. What makes Barry’s passing all the sadder is that this past year has been the happiest year that he has experienced in a very long time.
Barry is survived by his mother, Beth Richter and her partner Jerold Tilden of Boca Raton, FL, his father Steven Levenson of Long Island, NY, and his younger sister Melinda Levenson of San Francisco, CA, and his beloved puppy Moe who will be living with Barry’s closest friend, Jay Rogers in Dillwyn, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025 at Beth El Mausoleum in Boca Raton, FL at 10am.
