Barney Derrick Koenig

Barney Derrick Koenig, age 60 Passed away peacefully on Feb 12,206 in Boca Raton, Florida, There will be a memorial Service held on Feb 20/2026. Visitation from 1-2PM. A service will follow at 2pm.   

Barney was born in Philadelphia, PA. He lived in Moorestown, NJ in his early years before moving to Florida in the 1990s He graduated from Valley forge Military Academy in 1984. Barney had atrue love of the ocean. When Barney moved to florida he began working on a fishing Charter boat and became a member of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church where he became employed for many years, as well as being Self employed.

Barney is survived by his son, Brandon Koenig; daughter Lauren Koenig; mother Beverley Koenig; brother Walter R Koenig, sister-in-law, Karen and his nieces, Natalie, Rachel, Carly and Sasha and their families. He was predeceased by his father Walter A Koenig, brother Scott Koenig; Sister Nicole Schilling

Barney truly loved going fishing, duck hunting, crabbing, scuba diving, spending time with family and friends, listening to country music, watching hockey and nascar, and cooking on the grill. Barney loved all his friends and family dearly and life in general. He will truly be missed by all.
