Barney A. Ingoglia, 93, of Boca Raton, FL passed away on April 16, 2022.
Barney was born on September 7, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York to a large Italian family. He had three brothers and one sister. Barney was the youngest in his family and is the last survivor of his siblings. The family moved to Westbury, Long Island when Barney was a teenager.
Barney worked for the New York Times as a photojournalist for his entire career. While working for the Times, he attended Queens College. His work is in the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan and at the New York City Historical Society. Barney loved to participate in sports and was an avid skier and tennis player for many years. In more recent years, his interests were in billiards and playing poker with his friends. Barney continued his love of photography when he retired and created work with unique 3D designs.
Over 20 years ago, he and his wife Ellen left the Northeast and moved to Boca Raton. A few years ago, they moved to St. Andrews Estates in Boca Raton Florida
Barney is survived by his wife, Ellen Krystofik, niece, Lori Kessler (Joseph), niece, Kathleen Sheeler (George) and 13 grand-nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11AM. A private burial will take place at a later time at the Boca Raton Mausoleum.
