Barbara B. Wells
Loving wife, mother, sister and friend to all, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 19th, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Born 7/12/1931 in Orlando, Fl. to James (Buddy) Barton and Pauline Barton. She grew up in Fort Myers and attended Ft. Myers High school where she met the love of her life, Jack.
After working in a brokerage firm, she married Jack in July 1951 and they were in love for 67 years and inseparable until his death in 2018. Barbara dedicated her life to her family and was a supportive wife and mother.
She adored her family and friends and always put everyone else before herself. She was patient, kind and understanding and lit up a room with her twinkling eyes. She was extremely generous and was even an honorary Navajo Indian.
She loved the beach, traveling, reading, singing and listening to her favorite songs. She adored Bella and Luna, our 2 pups, and all animals in general, but was especially fond of giraffes. She loved nature and could be found out in front of her house most days enjoying the sunshine, the birds and flowers. She will be missed so very much by all who were blessed enough to know her.
She is survived by her sister, Ann (Francis) Stanford, son Jack Wells Jr. and Pat (Byers), of Oakland Park, son David Wells of Cape Coral, son Douglas and Donna (Grispino) Wells of Boca Raton and Grandson, Ryan Wells of Winter Park.
Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm on Saturday, May 29 at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton where a Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 30 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33907.
