Barbara A. LaVoie, 88, born on May 29, 1937, passed away peacefully on January 15, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and later passed in Florida. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and the heart of her family.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Charles A. LaVoie, and leaves behind eight children: Diana LaVoie of Brockton; Robin Tuzo and her husband Kevin Tuzo of Bermuda; Lori Cook of Somerville; Alan Aheron and his wife Michelle of Chelmsford; Kevin Aheron and his wife Nicole of Tennessee; Aprille LaVoie of Brockton; Jennifer Pittsley and her husband Matt of California; and Darlene Kline and her husband Alan of Rhode Island. Barbara was also blessed with a large and loving extended family, including 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom were a great source of pride and joy in her life.
Barbara will be remembered for her deep love of family, her strength, and the lasting legacy she leaves through generations. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Massachusetts.
