Barbara Foreman

Barbara Foreman Meier Grellinger, the widow of Werner Meier and Paul Grellinger and mother of Karin Meier Soronda, Kathryn Meier Seckinger and Jacqueline Grellinger and grandmother to Joshua Seckinger, died at 8:45 PM yesterday at The Encore at Boca Raton, Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Boca Raton, Florida, under the care of Trustbridge Hospice. She was 86 years old.

Barbara enjoyed robust good health nearly all her life. She continued her social, family and other personal routines almost to the very end.
 

In recent years Barbara had lived quietly with her daughter Kathryn Meier Seckinger, in Delray Beach, FL. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandson and friends. She was a quintessentially private person, poised, shy and aloof to strangers, but loved by all who knew her.
 

Barbara worked for the British Government in Washington D.C. from 1954 – 1959 and for the British Government in Bern & Geneva, Switzerland from 1959-1962.  Later moving to Coral Gables, FL in 1979 to raise her three girls and have a profession in real estate.  After retiring to Delray Beach FL she was a member of The Daughters of the British Empire and enjoyed having tea and discussing gardening with her friends.
