Arthur (Bud) Osborne, 80 years old of Boca Raton 3/26/44-2/28/2025 our beloved family patriarch, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of Barbara and Arthur Osborne, eldest of three brothers and a sister, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Though diagnosed with cancer many years ago, he faced every challenge with strength and grace, giving us 30 incredible bonus years.
Born in Evanston, Illinois, and raised on the North Shore of Chicago. Bud attended Princeton and Northwestern Universities before embarking on a remarkable career in banking. In addition to his successful career, Bud found fulfillment in giving back to his community. Bud served on the Board of the Boca Raton Community Hospital, the United Way, and the Association for the Retarded Citizens. Bud was also involved with his church and served on the Vestry at the Chapel of Saint Andrew. His success was undeniable, but his true wealth was in the love of his family and friends. He was the life of the party, the teller of the best jokes, and the kind of friend everyone was lucky to have.
He found his greatest joy with his wife, Marilyn, the love of his life, with whom he shared a lifetime of adventure and devotion. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising their children, Hillary (Tom) and David, with endless love. His grandchildren, Ellie and Will, were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment with them. He is also survived by his brother, David (Brus), as well as many nieces and nephews.
An avid diver, Bud found peace beneath the waves of the Florida Keys, beer in hand and the ocean as his playground. He loved nothing more than being on the water, but above all else, his heart was always with his family.
His legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the stories, smiles, and love he leaves behind.
