Antonio Almeida, Jr., 95, passed November 4, 2024. He was the loving husband of the late Maria Almeida. A dedicated father, he leaves his son, Dean Almeida. He leaves his sister Dorothy Baptista and was the brother of the late John Baptista and late Rose Babigian. He will be missed by all his nieces and nephews who love and respect him to the highest level, he has left happy memories with friends all along the East Coast and beyond.
He served our country with honor while enlisted in the U.S. Army. Once his commitment ended, he married his beautiful bride. They became permanent residents of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Antonio was employed with Forte Construction Company for over 25 years. He was a man who never shied away from hard work. You would hear him whistle as he worked. Once he retired, he relocated his family to Delray Beach, Florida.
He loved family gatherings, taking home videos and listening to music. He would light up a room when he entered. His light hearted spirit and unique sense of humor was always uplifting and the younger generation would gather around him for hugs and eager to hear a story or two about ancestors or a funny story about him and his friends.
He was the true definition of a Gentleman and will forever be missed and cherished.
