It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony "Tony" Q. Joffe on November 1, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on August 11, 1942, in New York City, he grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut. Tony lived a life marked by professional achievement, adventurous spirit, and devoted family ties.
A proud graduate of Boston University, Tony earned his Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering Management. An entrepreneur at heart, he pursued a wide range of ventures, spanning fields from technology to finance, each marked by his passion and curiosity.
Tony's zest for life extended well beyond his professional endeavors. An enthusiastic traveler, he enjoyed discovering new cultures -- especially the diverse cuisines. His passion for squash kept him active and engaged throughout most of his life, forging friendships on and off the court.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Judy, and his loving children: Chris (wife Lynne), Carter, Phil, and Doug (wife Kasey). Tony took immense pride in his role as grandfather to Preston, Pierce, and Cora. Also cherishing his memory are his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jo Ann and Tim Hautamaki, his niece Elizabeth H. Chancey, nephew Todd Hautamaki, as well as his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Sherry Clower.
Those who knew Tony will remember him for must have morning Diet Cokes, his warm smile, easy manner, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. His unwavering loyalty to family and friends created a legacy of love that will endure.
A memorial and celebration of Tony's life will be held on Saturday, December 28 at 2:00 pm at the Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton.
