Anna Tepedino Obituary

Anna Tepedino, a lifelong Brooklynite at heart, passed away suddenly in her Florida home on Monday, January 5, 2026. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Anna was the devoted daughter of Josephine Tepedino and the late Anthony Tepedino. She was survived by her beloved two older sisters, Rosemary Falkenhainer (late William Falkenhainer Sr.) and Jeanie Ford (Kirwin Ford), with whom she shared an unbreakable bond.

Anna attended St. Patrick’s Elementary School and went on to graduate from Fort Hamilton High School, where she distinguished herself as an all-star tennis player, demonstrating early on her determination, discipline, and competitive spirit. She continued her education at Pace University before earning her law degree from New York Law School. While attending law school, Anna worked for Local 3, balancing work and academics with characteristic grit and strength.

Anna was licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Florida, and began her legal career at Vanchieri and Ferrier LLP, where she discovered her passion for real estate law. Through hard work and perseverance, she rose to become a partner in the firm, overseeing the mortgage department. Her leadership, integrity, and deep knowledge earned her the respect of colleagues and peers alike, ultimately leading her to become both a member and later President of the Bay Ridge Lawyers Association.

Throughout her career, Anna was a mentor to many. Her strong personality and commanding presence ensured respect in every room she entered, yet she was always generous with her guidance and support. Her dedication to the Tepedino family business later brought her to Florida, where she continued to practice law, expand her expertise in real estate, and enjoy the warmer climate. From Florida, she continued to successfully manage the family estate with unwavering commitment.

While Anna loved her career and took great pride in running the family business, her greatest love was her family and friends. With a heart of gold, she was always the first to take care of those she loved. Her passion for cooking and hosting ensured that everyone around her was well fed and well loved.

Anna was especially proud of her “kids”—her nieces and nephews—and cherished her great-nieces, who were truly the center of her world, who she always referred to as “hers”. They always came first, without question. She was the first to show up with “goodies” for a dance recital, sporting event, school play, an important ceremony or a backyard gathering. She was also the first one to be called no matter the situation. Anna was everyone’s “Aunt Anna”, no matter their age or connection.  Her larger-than-life personality, fierce loyalty, and boundless love left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Anna Tepedino’s presence could never be ignored, and her absence will never be filled. She will be remembered for her strength, her generosity, her brilliance, and the profound love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and the family she held so dear.

Donations to the American Heart Association made in Anna’s name will continue to honor her giving spirit and help keep her memory alive through support for others.
