Angela Santiglia, nee’ LoRusso, 88, of Boca Raton entered eternal life on June 11, 2025. She died peacefully, with the presence of her family at Hospice by the Sea, Boca Raton.
Born in Jersey City, to Anthony LoRusso and Lucy Castellane, she grew up in Lodi and Cliffside Park, attended Cliffside Park High School. In 1960, Angela married George Santiglia to whom she was married for 21 years. They raised their children, Eve and Guy in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.
Angela worked with the National Audubon Society in Franklin Lakes as a secretary in the 1960’s and 70’s, where she developed a keen interest in ornithology which she enthusiastically shared with her family. She later embarked on a career in the travel and tourism industry, eventually calling on her entrepreneurial skills to start her business, Destination Paradise. She specialized in the cruise industry, sharing her passion for discovering new and exotic places with her clients, over the span of 45 years. When the global pandemic brought the travel industry to an abrupt halt, Angela finally retired at the age of 83.
Simultaneously, while managing her travel business, Angela launched another successful career as a long-term insurance care specialist with GE Financial.
Her life was filled with joy when spending time with her four grandchildren. She treasured celebrating their birthdays, graduations, and holidays. Outside of these festivities, she enjoyed vacations with them, playing board games, cooking, and gardening.
A devout Catholic and parishioner of the St. Jude church in Boca Raton, Florida where she lived for more than 45 years, Angela volunteered in various church activities.
Angela is survived by her daughter, Eve Santiglia, son-in-law, Paolo Pedrazzini, and their two children Luca and Alessia Pedrazzini; her son Guy Santiglia, his wife Meay Santiglia and their two children Jacqueline and John Santiglia, her sister Lucille La Sala, Patricia Carozza, Anthony LoRusso, and nine nieces and nephews.
