Angela Frisbie Obituary

Angela Wilma Frisbie, 93, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on 21.07.2026.
She was born to parents Gotthardt von Wallenberg Pachaly and Wilma Erklentz, on 09.02.1932 in Breslau, Silesia, Germany.

She graduated from Murnau, Bavaria, High School that she went to in the post war years after having fled the Russians from Silesia (now Poland) all the way across the country to Bavaria.

She went to work as a waitress in Munich and later took a position at Radio Free Europe. She later in 1957 moved to Mànhattan to live with her uncles family and  worked as a Pan American Stewardess.

It was on an overseas flight for PANAM that she met her husband to be, John, then Fllght Engineer. They married in 1958 and lived in a small Manhattan appartment until their first born, Edward, arrived. Three years later, in Baltimore, their daughter Dina was born. In 1964, John was offered and accepted a position flying out of Berlin, Germany. This was an act of  faith and courage since it meant moving into the heart of communist Germany, encircled by the Soviets. It also meant trading her PANAM career for housekeeping and child rearing.

The Berlin years turned out to be some of their happiest, enjoying rich companionship with the PANAM crowd, playing Tennis, traveling,  and seeing their children excellently schooled at JFKS, to this day a bilingual, bicultural Institue.

In 1979, John was promoted to position of Flight Captain first on the B707, later on the B747, and they moved to Boca Raton that year in August, where they have been ever since. They took up daily walks and swims at the nearby beach, continued playing Tennis and built a fine network of friends with whom they shared their rich crops of Avocados, Mangos and Papayas. It was at said Boca beach that they met and befriended (think hot pea soup, brought to a life guard sitting on his tower in the cold of winter) Brendan, who has been a son for many decades.
