It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew Morafates, age 77, who departed this life peacefully on July 23, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
A devoted father, Andrew is survived by his four children—Rory (Isabel), Dawnmarie (Bruce), Toni (Allen), and Paul (Vanessa)—who were the pride and joy of his life. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him endless joy and laughter.
He is also survived by his brothers Edward (Jennifer) and Michael (Catherine), with whom he remained close throughout his life. He now joins his beloved brother John, his mother Mary, and his father Paul, who passed before him.
Andrew had a deep love for family and friendship. Whether it was a Sunday dinner, a quiet conversation, or a lively gathering, he found true happiness in spending time with those he cared about. His love for sports was only matched by his passion for history, and he was always ready to share a story, a memory, or a well-timed joke.
He will be remembered for his warmth, his wit, and the steady, loving presence he offered to everyone lucky enough to know him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered
