Anastasios Orfanos
March 10,1932 to March 16, 2019

Anastasios was born in Erikoussa Greece a small island off of Corfu. He served as a merchant marine before traveling over to New York in 1952 where he married his wife Agatha in 1956. Tasso started his career painting before he became a partner with his father in law and brother in law in a local coffee shop in the Bronx and  the on to restaurants becoming a well known chef in the city in such places as the Delegate. They lived in Scarsdale New York and members of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. In 1992,Tasso and Agatha moved down to Highland Beach, Florida where they became permanent residents and members of Saint Mark’s Greek Orthodox Church. Tasso will be forever remembered as the best chef and a kitchen staple. He was loved by everyone who met him. Tasso also served as a volunteer coast guard for several years fulfilling his love for boating and the ocean. Tasso was cherished by his granddaughters and great grandchildren and will be forever in their hearts as the best Papou.

Tasso is survived by his wife Agatha, son Bobby, daughter-in-law Endria, grandchildren Beba, Christina, Bianca and great grandchildren Caden, Niko, Cruz “Tatsi” and Melina Anastasia.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, March 21 at Glick Family Funeral Home where a Trisagion will be held at 7:00 PM.  The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 22 at St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton.  Burial will follow at the Boca Raton Cemetery.
