In Loving Memory of Alice M. Burzynski
1925 – 2025
Alice M. Burzynski, age 100, passed away peacefully under Trustbridge Hospice Care on October 17, 2025, at Brookdale in Boynton Beach, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, faith, and laughter that touched everyone she met. Alice was born in Toledo, Ohio, and was raised in a close-knit Polish Community. She was married for 46 years and raised two children while having a career in the accounting department for the Owens Illinois Glass Company. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband and enjoying her growing family, especially her much loved grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her 80s, she relocated to Boca Raton, Florida, where she embraced a new chapter, enjoying the sun and sand, making many new friends, and enjoying countless escapades during her golden years. In addition to her beloved grandchildren up north she was grateful to have several more additional grandchildren and great grandchildren, who joined her over the years and brought added joy during this time in her life.
A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Alice’s life was rooted in her deep love for her family and her unshakable faith. She was the heart of many generations, known for her wonderful sense of humor, her hand-crocheted gifts, and her devotion to praying the rosary.
Alice had a special talent for crochet and created treasured afghans for every member of the family—each one a labor of love that will keep her warmth close to them for years to come. Whether spending a quiet afternoon with yarn in hand, sitting in her rocking chair listening to her favorite singers IL Volo and Dan Cositore, playing bingo, taking trips to the casino, or enjoying scenic drives along the water, Alice found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She also loved her outings with her dear friends Jean and Mary, and most recently cherished her days with her Brookdale Buddies—Joe, Rosemarie, Edith, and Jerry.
Proud to have lived 100 years, Alice made many friends whom she treasured deeply. Her ability to form lasting friendships spanned decades and generations. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her sister, Sophia; and her parents, Joseph, and Marcella.
Alice is survived by her son, Michael (Carolyn) Burzynski, and daughter, Marci Meredith; her grandchildren, Melanie Twining, Angela Franz, Erin (Dave) Shipley, Michael (Kourtney) Meredith, Taylor (Garrett) Sweringen, Christine (Ryan) Ederer, and Lauren Comerford (Omid), Kara Raiano; great-grandchildren Edward, Logan, Avery, Hayden, Mason, Christian, Grayson, Owen, Harper, Luke, and Van; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Dan (Jenny) Demski, Steven (Shelley) Demski, Kevin (Sandra) Kennedy and families.
