Alex Gonzalez

Alex Gonzalez, 18 years old, of Deerfield Beach, passed away on November 11th, 2023.

He was born in Atlantic City on December 7th, 2004. Alex graduated from Deerfield Beach High School on June 5th 2023.

Alex loved Classical music, especially Beethoven and Mozart. He was a truly gifted musician and played multiple instruments but his favorite was the piano. He was great with kids and was an amazing older brother to Arius. His job at Pet Supermarket was where he was able to be around another love of his, which was animals. Being a deep thinker, Alex was always curious about everything and loved learning. He was accepted into FAU to pursue a degree in Psychology with plans to become a psychologist to help others. His sense of humor was one of his greatest traits, he can make anybody laugh. Friends described him as a gentle soul who was comforting to be around. He will truly be missed.  

He was survived by his mother, Suleica Benitez, his father, Juan Gonzalez, his brothers, Angel Gonzalez and Arius Gervacio, his grandmothers, Carmen Castillo and Nubia Sanchez, and his grandfather Julio Benitez.

A visitation will be held from 11-12 PM on Friday, November 17 at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton where a Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM.
