Wilfred Ross Gibson

Wilfred Ross Gibson, of Boca Raton, FL went home to be with the Lord, on January 9, 2019.

He was born on January 11, 1930 in Los Angeles, CA and grew up in Rochester, MN. Ross attended the Roosevelt HS in Minneapolis. Ross is proceeded in death by his wife, Joan Beverly Gibson and his son, Wilfred Ross Gibson, Jr. Ross worked for IBM until he retired in the late 70’s. He and his wife, Joan, and their family moved to Boca Raton, FL in 1969 where they attended St. Paul Lutheran Church. Ross was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War. Ross and Joan were married for 60 years, until her death in 2010.

In 2013 Ross married Christine Boden. Ross enjoyed cruising, camping, canoeing, fishing and running.  Ross had many friends and was a wonderful father to his children.

He is survived by his son Ronald (Sandra) Gibson of Rochester, MN; his sons, Jay and Shane. Daughter Candace Gibson of Lakeland, FL; her children, David A Skena and Rachel Boyer. Daughter Christianne (Chuck) Carlson of Burnsville, NC; her children, April Beck and Anthony Visconti. Daughter-in-law Susan Gibson. Grandson Joseph Gibson. Also, Ross has 9 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on March 28th at 11:00 AM
at St. Paul Lutheran Church - 701 W. Palmetto Park Rd. Boca Raton, FL 33486
