Thomas R Culligan, V, age 26 passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 27, 2019.
Tom is survived by his parents, Thomas R Culligan IV and Lorrie Culligan, his sisters Jordann Culligan and Amy (Jon) Andell, and brother William Weaver, his grandparents Thomas R Culligan III and Frances Culligan and his uncles Richard Culligan and Kerry Culligan, his aunt Linda Borders-Davis and his nieces and nephew Amber, Dylan and Emily Andell as well as several cousins and many many friends. All of whom loved Tom deeply.
Tom had a million dollar smile that could light up a room and such an infectious laugh. Besides being very handsome, Tom was a big guy with this tough guy exterior, but was a big teddy bear inside. Really sensitive. Very loving. Exceptionally creative with a beautiful voice. Tom could sing very well and was an incredibly smart, quick witted and talented rapper. Tom had a huge heart and was always a champion of the underdog. He always talked about all the philanthropic things he would do with his money when “he made it big”! He never cared about material things at all, never talked about what he would buy... said it would make him happy to give all his profits away to help others. That was Tom.
Tom knew a lot of people, had a ton of acquaintances, but had just a couple very close friends. Tom was outgoing, very charming and social when around people, but also had his very introspective side and was quite philosophical. Tom was really a deep person and we used to say he was an "old soul".
Tom was very in touch with his faith. A strong believer in Jesus Christ and had accepted Jesus into his heart at an early age. He had many conversations with God and he never did stop talking to and about God, even up until the day he passed.
Tom had such a love of movies and hardly ever missed a new release. He loved Tupac, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. But Tupac... holy cow, he could talk about him for hours. His family finally had to tell him “We can’t hear about Tupac anymore!!” Lol We imagine Tom and Tupac are chatting about rap right now on a beautiful cloud high above us.
As hard as this is, we know Tom is at peace and we know he’s with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We will miss him terribly. His boisterous, funny antics, his infectious laugh and quirky, no filter jokes. Tom had an unconditional love of his very tight knit family, and we all loved him with our hearts and souls. Even though Tom is gone from earth, he will always be here with us... because "love never lets go".
