Sharon Louise Winger: Dec 3rd 1953- February 4th 2018.
Sharon Lousie Winger was born in Minneapolis,MN as the second child to Forman and Katherine Winger. Sharon grew up in Mpls, graduating from Washburn High School and going to work at the Honeywell Corporation. After multiple promotions and recognitions, in 1981 Sharon left Honeywell to found her own business with 2 partners in the newly developing PC computer (Unix based operating system ) / tech industry. Sharon remained in the technology industry working with large corporation s and entrepreneurial start-ups; always her real business passion. As computers became household items Sharon transitioned into the webbased education industry in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Entering the new century, Sharon capitalized on the booming South Florid Real Estate market buying, rehabbing and selling multiple property’s. Sharon’s mother, and elder sister both suffered from ALS, and this terrible disease also reached out to Sharon. Sharon fought for women’s issues & equality in the work place, and faced this battle with the same bravery and resilience.
Sharon grew up a true Minnesota girl, and enjoyed the outdoors. She spent many summers at her family’s resort “Eagle-Wing” on Lake Kabetogama outside International Falls, MN. She was known for besting many a fisherman on the waters with her boating and fishing prowess. Her love of the water and Black Labs remained with her and were a continued joy in though-out her life.
Sharon is survived by her son, a true love in her life. Max Weber. Max is living in Seattle & finalizing his studies for his Commercial Pilot’s license while working in client relations with Kenmore Air.
