Dear Sam and Kirsten, Christine and Katie, Stephen and Andrew, Karlen and Ocean and Nikki -
Your father, your grandfather, was the most gentle and generous, the kindest and the finest, the most gracious and affable human I have ever known. He was a world-class gentleman in every respect, and it shall ever be my great privilege and honor to have known him as my uncle and my friend.
From across the country, I share deeply in your sorrow and your sadness at this very difficult time. Let us all take comfort knowing how devoted he was to Our Lord and Our Lady, certain that they have more than filled his sails and his soul with the fairest heavenly wind. May he enjoy safe anchor forever in the spiritual haven that beckons and awaits us all.
May God hold you all most tenderly in his loving care. You are in my heart and in my prayers.
