Rose Ferrara Obituary

Rose Ferrara 90 passed away on January 16, 2019 at Trustbridge Hospice Center in Boca Raton, Florida.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband Philip of 69 years and son Carl Ferrara.  She leaves behind daughters Fran Winters and Lynette Petronaci, son-in-laws Ed Winters and Ron Petronaci.  Grandchildren, Jenelle Cooper, Michael Price, Jesse Ferrara, John Seidell and Kelly O'brien and six great grandchildren, Ethan, Cole, Noah, and Evie Cooper, Aubrey and Sydney Price.

She was born on August 5, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York. She was born the daughter of Vita and Gasper Gallo. After attending high school in Brooklyn, N.Y. Rose did some modeling. Shortly after she met Phil at a church dance and later married in 1948. They moved to West Hempstead Long Island where they lived and raised their three children. Rose spent most of her career as a bank teller. She was very active with her prayer group for many years until they retired to Florida. Rose will be remembered for her great Italian cooking, especially her meatballs and chicken soup which was a favorite of her grandchildren.  Rose always enjoyed big gatherings and spending time with family. Rose had a big heart and will be missed by many.

A graveside service will be held at 9:45 AM on Monday, January 21 at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
