Luciano Brum e Familia!

On Monday morning, God welcomed a new angel in heaven. Most people referred to her as Rosa De Souza Pinto, close friends and family referred to her as Zita, I always just called her "vovó". When you live to be 82 years old, it's not so much death as it is winning at life. Vovó left on this Earth four daughters and three grandkids who loved her very much. Since my birth, she would spend a few months here in the States every year, always alternating between staying at our house, or at one of my aunts' homes. She was like my second mom, teaching me important life concepts and telling me the most interesting stories. When I was little, vovó and I would always sit on our couch in the living room and watch novellas on telemundo and Globo, transfixed on the numerous plots. She was there with my family and I for every single World Cup we would watch together, she was there when I graduated high school and she was there when I started college. While my family and I are in mourning now, we understand that this was all a part of God's plan and that right now, she is up in heaven watching over all of us, still the mother and grandmother she was. I wish it didn't happen so suddenly, and I wish I would've had more time with her, but that's life. I love you vovó and I'm gonna miss you.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

On Monday morning my grandma went to heaven to live with God. She was my inspiration, my role model, and my best friend. She was always there for me showing her support and love every single day and I loved her so much. I wish that she hadn't left so soon. There will not be a single day that I won't miss her and every night I will pray for her to watch over my family and I with God. I will miss you so much Vovó, and I love you so much and one day, we will meet again in the grace of God
— feeling heartbroken.

Silvia - there are no words to comfort you or your family at this time. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your sisters and all of your moms grandchildren. May she fly high in the arms of the Angels. You now have your own Angel in Heaven watching over you and yours. May God give you strength during this most difficult time. Besos y Abrazos Amigita
