Rosa de Souza Pinto

Rosa ("Zita") de Souza Pinto, 83, born May 26, 1934, passed away on Monday August 07, 2017  in Boca Raton, FL.

She was  married in 1958 to Nelcindo S. Pinto and widowed in 1973. She will be greatly missed by her surviving daughters, Karen Pinto Pugliano, Silvia Pinto, Nilceia Grossi  and son-in-law Demetrius, Carla Pinto and son-in-law Carlos , grandchildren Nicholas,Giovanni, Amanda, and family, friends and others whose lives she touched.

Rosa was born and raised in the southern part of Brazil where she spent her life alternating between caring for her family, having a career as a pharmacist and committing to socially improve her community. Rosa's legacy was her generosity. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a supportive neighbor and a religious person whose mission was to serve others by running community centers, assisting with the creation of schools and  health centers in areas less privileged.

Her greatest joy was to give out presents and make others happy. 

 A mass service will be held on Friday August 11, 2017 at St Joan of Arc Church : 370 SW 3rd street, Boca Raton, FL  33432, at 11:00 am. Additional services will be held in Brazil where she will be laid to rest.
