Regina Neumann-Loreck

Regina Hedwig Elisabeth Neumann-Loreck, 83, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away on August 10, 2018.  Regina was born in Berlin, Germany to Alexander Jadkowski and Hedwig Elisabeth Jadkowski (maiden name: Gerigk).  She has resided in Delray Beach since 2001. 

Regina is survived by her husband Hans Neumann-Loreck (91), her sons, Andre Neumann-Loreck, married to Kay Yun, and Alexander Neumann-Loreck married to Illysia Neumann-Loreck and four grandchildren, Alexander, Anna, Annika and Oliver.

Regina grew up in Berlin and had a dream to see the world. She began working at Pan American Airways where she met Hans who was also interested in the exciting world of air travel. Regina married Hans in 1957 in Munich, Germany.

They moved to the United States in the early 1960s and found a country full of opportunity. Regina had Andre in 1963 and Alexander in 1966. In June 1972, Regina was happy to become an American citizen.

During their 61 years of marriage Regina and Hans lived in Germany, New York, Massachusetts, Japan, Texas and California, before moving to Delray Beach. They traveled the world together taking Andre and Alexander to far-flung places in Europe, Asia, South America, and the Middle East. Throughout their many moves and adventures, Regina always made home the center of the family’s world. She focused on her children, Andre and Alexander, and always ensured they had a welcoming place to come back to when it for time for them to have their own adventures. 

In 1990, Regina received a heart transplant in Dallas, Texas. Starting with her travails in World War II as a child through to her transplant, she was always a survivor. Living 27 years after the transplant procedure places Regina among the longest-surviving heart transplant recipients.

A funeral service will be held for Regina Neumann-Loreck on Thursday, August 16th, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Glick Family Funeral Home at 3600 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL.
