Matthew Ryan McGrath, 22, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away following an accident on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. He was born November 8, 1996 in Boca Raton, Florida.
He loved being outdoors, often fishing with his friends, camping, riding ATVs, biking through trails, and going to mudding events. He had a passion for all things fishing, working with his hands, talking about cars, and going to car shows. He loved animals and was generous with his time helping others. He found joy in every aspect of life and brought laughter and smiles to all who knew him.
He is survived by his father, Gary McGrath of Dunnellon, Florida; his mother, Sandra McGrath of Boca Raton, Florida; his sisters, Megan McGrath and Laurel McGrath of Boca Raton, Florida. Additionally, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Judith McGrath of Ocala, Florida; his maternal grandfather, F. Peter (Diane) Delderfield, Jr. of Wellington, Florida; his maternal grandmother, Elsie Maguire of Boca Raton, Florida; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 4:00pm at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church in Boca Raton, Florida. Father Andrew Sherman will officiate the ceremony, and there will be a reception to follow to celebrate Matthew’s life.
