Marsha Chris

Marsha Chris fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday 29 August 2018 in Boca Raton, FL. 

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and a dedicated member of the Saint Anna's Philoptochos at the Saint Paul Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Hempstead, NY. 

Predeceased by her husband Solon J. Chris, her elder son Yanni Chris, her mother Marika Bazakas, and her sister in Greece Vasiliki Nicolaidou.  She is survived by her son, Rev. Dr. Emanuel S. Chris along with his beloved wife Presvytera Evangelia Chris of Mansfield, MA, granddaughter Elina Scavelli along with her husband Michael G. Scavelli and their daughter Elizabeth Grace, and grandson Nicholas S. Chris along with his girlfriend Amanda Fuller, all of New York, NY. 

Funeral services will be held at Saint Mark Greek Orthodox Church, 2100 NW 51st Street, Boca Raton, FL 33431 on Saturday 1 September 2018 with a viewing in the Narthex at 9:00 am followed by the Funeral Service at 9:30 am.  Burial will be privately attended only by the immediate family at The Gardens of Boca Raton following the service. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marsha's memory can be made to either: 
Saint Mark Greek Orthodox Church, 2100 NW 51st Street, Boca Raton, FL 33431  or to the Endowment Fund of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 175 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston, RI, 02920.
