Lorayne Vitrone Obituary

Lorayne Frances Vitrone (66) passed away peacefully, with loved ones by her side, in the comfort of her niece and nephew’s home in Boynton Beach, FL on Thursday, October 4th, 2018.

Lorayne was born on August 15, 1952 in Paterson, NJ to Frank Vitrone (deceased) and Anna Nutile Vitrone.

From the time Lori was a little girl, she was always energetic, a free spirit, inquisitive about the world, and above all a leader.

Lori attended Elmwood Park Memorial High School. Her first job was at Alexander’s Department store. When Lori wasn’t working, she was hanging out with her friends, shopping, and going to concerts - a devoted Beatle’s fan.

In her later teens, early 20’s, Lori was a champion of women’s rights, which continued to be a passion of hers until she passed. She recently attended the Women’s March on D.C., with her niece, Jennifer.

In her 20’s, Lori worked at Columbia Savings & Loan in Elmwood Park, NJ as a Business Analyst. As her career progressed, she transitioned to Prudential Securities in Lower Manhattan, NY, and eventually to NCCI Holdings in Delray Beach, FL.

In the late 80’s, Lori met Rich Mancinelli. They spent their days dining in NY, attending shows on Broadway, boating, traveling, and snuggling with their pup, Doc.

Lori and Rich moved to Delray Beach, Florida in the late 90’s. They enjoyed their time on the water, being with family, and swimming with their pup, Casey.

In the early 2000’s, Lori’s beloved, Rich passed away. Navigating a new life in Boynton Beach, FL, Lori used her positive energy to learn about the world of wine, trying her eye at photography, becoming a certified diver, and traveling the world with her dear friends. Lori spent many days hosting wine events and showing her canvas at local art galleries in the Lake Worth area.

No matter where Lori was, everyone gravitated towards her, as she created a legacy of friendships that spanned decades. These bonds have woven a picturesque quilt of Lori’s spirit and energy.

Lorayne is survived by her mother Anna Vitrone, her brother Kenneth Vitrone, her nephew Mark Vitrone, her niece Jennifer LaNunziata and her husband Christopher LaNunziata, her great-nieces Marianna and Makenna Vitrone, as well as her numerous cousins.

Lorayne will be honored and remembered at a private family gathering on Friday, October 26th, 2018 where her ashes will be lovingly placed at sea.

A Celebration of Life in Lorayne’s honor will be held at Delray Sands Resort in Highland Beach, FL on Saturday, October 27th, 2018 between 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Friends and family are welcome to stop by to share fond memories of Lori while enjoying light refreshments. Parking is limited and guests are encouraged to arrive together.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in Lorayne’s honor to Trustbridge Hospice Foundation, AVDA - Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse, or to the Malala Fund - working for a world where every girl can learn and lead.
