Lena Brustik passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 5, 2011. She was 94.
She was born and raised near Owosso, Michigan, and her married life was spent in Flint Michigan.
Lena’s creative talents took her into the field of floral design where she worked for many years. She competed in flower arrangement shows and won many awards. Her family was fortunate to be the recipient of her talents; she gave them many floral and candle arrangements as well as handmade wreaths.
Several years after her husband passed away, she moved to Florida where her 2 daughters reside. She was an avid card player with Bridge as her favorite game.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of many years, Joseph F. Brustik, her dear sister Marie Hornacek and 2 brothers Frank and Joe. She is survived by her sister, Annie Sovis, 2 daughters Rose Marie Arnold and Betty (Robert) Duckwall, 4 grandchildren, Russell (Marcy) Arnold, Sherry Brooke, Randall Arnold, and Deborah Grathwohl and 4 great grandchildren, Eric Edwards, Scott Edwards, Andrew Chafin, and Peter Grathwohl.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 370 SW 3rd Street, Boca Raton, Florida, on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM.
