John Bullard Lutters

John Bullard Lutters, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017.

 John grew up in Orange, CT, the son of Jack and Betty “Boots” Lutters, brother to Billy. He graduated from Amity Regional High School and later earned a degree from the University of New Haven.

John’s long career was in sales, most recently with Door Systems of South Florida and Overhead Door Corporation of the Gold Coast. John also worked as a fitness trainer and earned the Mr. Connecticut title in bodybuilding in the over 40 category in 1984.  John coached basketball in CT as well as FL for Advent Lutheran Middle School and Boca Hoops in Boca Raton and Zion Lutheran School in Deerfield Beach. A drummer and guitarist, he had a great love for music; most notably, The Beatles, Jimmy Buffet and reggae.

John was married to the love of his life, Carol (Contino) for 36 years. Other loved ones John leaves are his four awesome kids, Tracy & John of CT and Julia & Jenny of FL. He is also survived by six amazing grandchildren, four of the most adorable great grandchildren ever and five Beagle fur babies.

There will be a service Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Glick Family Funeral Home, 3600 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida 33431. All are welcome to attend the service. Burial will be private.

A casual celebration of John’s life will also be held Thursday, September 7, 2017at 7:00 p.m. at Baja Café Dos, Deerfield Beach. All are welcome to attend.
