Jack Silver was born on December 1, 1927 in the Bronx and lived in New Jersey most of his life. He passed away on July 24, 2019. He was a loving husband of 25 years to his wife Barbara and a wonderful stepfather to Cassi and Davin and grandfather to Emma. He loved his fur babies Rigby, Winston and his little girl Lucy dearly.
Jack loved to travel, eat at the best restaurants around the world and lived life to the fullest. Jack was an avid lover of all sports and loved watching all of the games, especially football. He was a jokester at heart and drew attention from all everywhere he went. Everyone always thought he was a famous celebrity.
Jack was proud to be a boxer in his early days in the Bronx and served our country in World War II and always loved to tell everyone how proud he was to be an enlistee, not a draftee. Jack worked for the US Postal service as a mail carrier for 30 years in Manhattan.
Jack was the most Generous, Loving, Funny all around amazing man with a Heart of Gold. He was truly Irreplaceable and One of a Kind and will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky to have him in their life. May he rest in eternal peace.
Jack was preceded in death by his son Steven as well as his brother Bernie and his sister Trude. He is survived by loving nephews: Lewis, Frank, Norman, and niece Ellen; great-nephews: Ethan & Jonathan, Jacob, Doug & Brian, Mitchell and great nieces: Eddye & Lizzie.
