Inge Elisabeth Dagmar Bürklin passed away and entered the presence of her Lord on January 22, 2019. She was 85 years old.
Inge was born on March 29, 1933 in Memel, East Prussia (today Klaipeda, Lithuania) and moved to the western part of Germany fleeing from the advancing Russian army during the end of WW2. She settled in Uelzen where she finished her “Abitur” (high school diploma). While studying at a Bible School in Paris she met and fell in love with a Werner Bürklin. They got married in 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany and were happily married for 61 years.
She is survived by her husband Werner, her four children Erik and wife Tammy, Heiko and wife Kay, Stephan and wife Barbara and Linda (Pervenecki) and husband David as well as her 10 grandchildren and spouses
Inge’s greatest accomplishment was her ministry to her children and neighbors. All of her four children accepted Jesus as their personal savior on her lap. She conducted many neighborhood Bible studies during her years living in Egelsbach, Germany. During her life she had the joy of partnering with her husband ministering alongside him in many countries. In 1969 the family moved to Kingston, Jamaica and in 1978 to Sao Paulo, Brazil, where Werner was preparing Youth for Christ conferences. In 1983 and 1986 she lived in Amsterdam, Netherlands while Werner served as the Director of the International Conference for Itinerant Evangelists for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. In 1987 she moved to Boca Raton where Werner founded China Partner, which serves the church in China through equipping emerging pastors.
Her life verse is Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
There will be a Memorial Service in Boca Raton on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2pm at Grace Community Church, 600 West Camino Real, Boca Raton, FL 33486.
Inge’s wish was that in lieu of flowers, donations would be made to China Partner, 8191 SouthPark Lane #112, Littleton, CO 80120 (http://chinapartner.org/donation-button-test)
