Harold Andersen Obituary

Harold Andersen

August 24, 1927 – June 2, 2019

Harold Edward Andersen, 91, resident of St. Andrews Estates in Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on Sunday, June 2.   He was a hardworking, faithful and loving husband, father and ‘far’ (grandfather).  He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice, of 67 years and three children:  Kenneth (and wife Marcia), Steven (and wife Carol) and Carol (and husband Jeff).  He was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

While born in Brooklyn, NY, he grew up in Lista, Norway, during WWII and returned to the United States at 17 years old where he married, had a family and worked as a dockbuilder for 40 years.  He and Alice were faithful members of 59th Street Lutheran Brethren Church and he was a long-serving trustee and deacon.  They retired to Pennsylvania in 1989 and moved permanently to Florida five years ago.  He was blessed with a long, healthy life.  We rejoice that he is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven and that we will see him again one day.

A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews Estates South, 6045 Verde Trail South, Boca Raton, FL  33433 on Friday, June 7 at 4 p.m. in the chapel.

A funeral will be held at Mt. Bethel Church, 1270 Belvidere Corner Rd, Mt Bethel, PA 18343 on Saturday, June 22 with burial following in the Reformed Cemetery in Stone Church, PA.  A fellowship time at the church will be held immediately after the burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (https://billygraham.org/give/give-online/)
