Gary Schroepfer

Gary Schroepfer passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 20, 2017, in Delray Beach, Florida.   Gary loved to make people laugh and smile.  He could — and would — strike up a conversation with anyone he met.  If you ever met him, you’d remember his smile and his booming voice.  That voice was perfect for his lifelong career in radio.  It brought him to South Florida in 1981, where he and his wife Carol took over a fledgling AM radio station.  Together, they built that tiny AM radio station to become one of the most successful AM stations in South Florida.  

Most important to Gary of all was his family.  He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Carol Schroepfer; his three children, Lisa Thomas, Jeff Schroepfer, and Mike Schroepfer; and 6 grandchildren.  He was an amazing father, which you can tell by how close the extended family is, and how often they like to get together.  His kids always knew how much he loved them, and and he had a way of making everything they were doing fun.  Things just won’t be the same without him.
