Francis Carbone Obituary

Frank Carbone, 98 of Boca Raton Florida passed away on October 12, 2018 at VITAS Healthcare in Delray Florida. Born in Newark New Jersey, Frank graduated from Central High School. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II where he also sang with the USO. After moving to Florida, he served for many years as the President of the Tiburon II Homeowners Association.

Frank raised his family in Cranford New Jersey and fulfilled a lifelong dream of moving to Florida when he retired from the Union Carbide Corporation. A Design Engineer by trade, Frank was a man of many talents. There was nothing that he couldn’t repair, improve, or rebuild. He kept family and friends amazed by his wealth of knowledge and expertise on a multitude of subjects. He was an avid reader, and never stopped learning. His intelligence was matched only by his sharp sense of humor and his ability to come up with just the right funny quote to match any situation. One of Frank’s greatest joys in life was sitting down with a dish of macaroni and meatballs cooked by his beloved wife Renee and of course a glass or two of red wine.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Renee, son Richard and his wife Nora, son Steve and his partner Karen, and daughter Marguerite and her husband Robert. Grandchildren Carolyn, Craig, Bernadette, Francis, Richard, Donnie, Kevin, Kelly and Kim, and Great Granddaughter Madeline.

Interment will take place on November 13, 2018 at 11:30 am at the South Florida National Cemetery 6501 SR 7 Lake Worth Florida with repast and celebration of Frank’s life immediately following at the Tiburon II Clubhouse, Escobar Ct, Boca Raton.

Donations in Frank’s name can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 232 Danny Thomas Place Memphis TN 38105.
