Emmaline "Emmy" Bringley of Boca Raton, Fl died Thursday, September 28th, surrounded by her family after a three year battle with ovarian cancer. Emmy is survived by her husband of 43 years, Tom and two daughters, Sarah, husband Carlos and Jenny whose husband Tony Miranda was tragically killed by a lightning strike two months ago. Tony is missed by all who knew him. Four grandchildren are also missing their grandmother.
Emmy was born in Amsterdam, NY, 65 years ago and moved to Florida with her husband Tom in 1976. A recently retired teacher of 31 years, Emmy spent many of those at Del Prado elementary school in Boca Raton. She was a dedicated, patient soul who loved her students and teaching career.
Emmy enjoyed fashion and decorating and loved to travel. Luckily we did our share of cruising and trips to Europe before her retirement was sadly cut short. She also loved our little spot in Key Largo.
Most of all, Emmy was an amazingly beautiful wife and mother to Sarah and Jenny and grandmother to Matthew and Katie Herrero and Antonio and Ricky Miranda. We loved the fact that we all lived together in Palm Beach County. Emmy was the leader and organizer and inspired us all. We loved her dearly and no words can express our loss.
A celebration of Emmy's life will be held on Thursday at the funeral home with family and friends gathering at 5:00pm\. The Funeral Service beginning at 6:30pm.
